Small interactions, an outsized ripple.
When you live abroad, the little interactions add up faster than you'd think.
A Καλημέρα (Kaliméra, good morning) to your neighbour. A Καλή όρεξη (Kalí órexi, enjoy your meal) to a colleague at lunch. They look like nothing. Their ripple is enormous: you feel included, they feel respected, and the whole day sits a little lighter on your shoulders.
This is what I love about teaching Greek this way. It isn't about filling notebooks. It's about changing how you feel walking through your own day.
Try this, no grammar required: say Καλημέρα, τι κάνεις; (Kaliméra, ti kánis?, good morning, how are you?) out loud three times, with a smile, as if you're greeting someone you like. Then use it tomorrow on the first person you see.
Notice how they react. Notice how you feel.
If this is the Greek you'd love to speak, the door is here. Come and find your own voice in it. wisegreekowl.com
