TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Last updated: 7 August 2026
Welcome to The Wise Greek Owl Project ("we", "us", or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website, online courses, lessons, digital learning products, proofreading and editing services, and any related services (together, the "Services"). Please read them carefully. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Article 1 — General
By using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy, and any additional terms that apply to specific products or services. Accessing the Website in any manner constitutes use of the Website and your agreement to these Terms.
Article 2 — Eligibility (age)
Our Services are intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or use the Services. By placing an order, you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally capable of entering into binding contracts. If we become aware that a subscriber or customer does not meet this requirement, we will remove their data and, where a purchase has been made, cancel it and issue a refund in accordance with applicable law.
Article 3 — Placing an order
By placing an order for any product or service, you warrant that the information you provide is true, accurate, and complete, and that you are legally able to enter into the contract. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order.
Article 4 — Prices, payment, and taxes
Prices are shown in euros (€) and may change at any time; the price that applies to your order is the one displayed at the time you place it. The Wise Greek Owl Project is a sole proprietorship that is not subject to VAT under Article 39 of the Greek VAT Code, so prices do not include VAT.
Payment is due immediately when you place your order, including for pre-orders. Payments are processed securely by our third-party providers, Stripe and PayPal. We do not store your full card details on our servers. Card payments are subject to validation and authorisation by your card issuer; if authorisation is refused, we are not responsible for any resulting delay or non-delivery.
Article 5 — Your right to cancel and our refund policy
Live courses and lessons. You may cancel a booking for a live course or lesson package up to five (5) days before the agreed start date and receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than five (5) days before the start date are non-refundable, unless otherwise required by law.
Digital products (e-books, e-guides, audio bundles, and other downloadable content). If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content. However, by purchasing digital content that is supplied immediately, you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the download or access has begun, in accordance with Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and Greek Law 2251/1994. For this reason, digital products are non-refundable once access has been granted or the content has been delivered.
Free trials and introductory content. Some Services may include free trials or free introductory content, provided at no charge and subject to these Terms.
Nothing in this Article affects your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer, including where a product is faulty or not as described.
Article 6 — Your account and information
To access certain Services you may need to provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, billing address, and payment details. You agree to provide accurate and complete information, keep any login credentials confidential, and notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. By submitting payment information, you authorise us to share it with our payment processors solely to complete your order. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms.
Article 7 — Use of content and intellectual property
All content we provide — including lessons, course materials, videos, audio, text, graphics, and downloadable resources — is owned by or licensed to The Wise Greek Owl Project and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may access and use the materials for your own personal, non-commercial learning.
You may not copy, share, distribute, resell, publish, modify, or create derivative works from any content, or use it for group teaching, training, or commercial purposes, without our prior written consent.
Article 8 — Disclaimer of warranties
Our Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make every effort to provide high-quality learning services, but we do not warrant that the content is error-free or suitable for your specific needs, that access will be uninterrupted or free of technical issues, or that you will achieve any particular result such as fluency. Your progress depends on your own effort and consistency. This Article does not exclude any warranty or right that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Article 9 — Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Wise Greek Owl Project shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or learning progress, arising from your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your mandatory rights as a consumer.
Article 10 — Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if you breach these Terms or where reasonably necessary. You may stop using the Services or cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at info@wisegreekowl.com. Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that arose before it.
Article 11 — Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where changes are significant, take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
Article 12 — Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Greek courts. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence.
